Important Announcement

Our Thanks and Congratulations to IBA Treasurer Tiffany Nelson

To the IBA Membership,

Please accept this letter as formal notice of my resignation from the position as Treasurer of the Iowa Bandmasters Association, effective January 1, 2026.

This decision comes as I transition into a new professional role in educational administration. While I am excited for the opportunities this advancement brings, it also requires me to step away from this position to ensure that the Association continues to receive the dedicated focus and service it deserves.

It has been an honor to serve alongside such talented and passionate colleagues, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the important work of IBA. I value the experiences, relationships, and growth I have gained during my tenure. I have truly valued and honored our mission. The past nine years have been full of amazing ups and downs. Together we made it through COVID, changing websites (twice), a cancer diagnosis/death in my family, and many family members’ illnesses and struggles, as well as many amazing conferences, laughs, and great successes.

I remain committed to supporting the mission of the Iowa Bandmasters Association and look forward to continued involvement as a member in new ways. All books are in order. I will work closely with Secretary Brandon Weeks and Director of Communications Aaron Nuss and will do everything I can to make sure the transition to the new treasurer is seamless.

Thank you for the privilege of serving as Treasurer and Board member, it has truly been an honor.

Sincerely,

Tiffany Nelson
