Social Media Coordinator – Appointed by the President

  1. Oversee the Iowa Bandmaster Social Media sites (create, solicit, and monitor posts).
  2. Point of Contact for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  3. Sends communication (from PR or other Committees) out on social
    media outlets.
  4. Promotes IBA activities on social media outlets.
  5. Submit a report to IBA business meetings
  6. Reports to Director of Communications.
  7. Collaborates with Public Relations and Director of Communications.

Posting Criteria – Board Vote:

  1. All surveys will need IBA BOD approval before posting on any IBA Social Media outlet.
    Full disclosure of the survey will be presented upon approval from the IBA BOD.
  2. IBA official business, announcements, photos, communications from leadership.
  3. Posts promoting membership and student accomplishments.
  4. Posts promoting items of interest to membership (events, articles, announcements,
    research, literature, recordings).
  5. Posts promoting and celebrating bands in Iowa (all levels).
  6. Posts promoting related organizations (IMEA, IAAE, JEI, Jazz Championships, IHSMA,
    etc).
